Our technology therefore facilitates the redirection of funds towards sustainable activities, speeding up the transition to a lower carbon economy in line with the EU Green Deal.

In order to sustain our rapid growth, we are looking for an exceptional Sustainability Intern to join our team.

How you will make an impact

You will be part of our sustainability team and work closely with internal experts to deliver Greenomy's sustainability frame of action. The sustainability team you will join leads ambition for sustainability within the organisation, and develops strategic roadmaps. In the context of our ESG strategy and Greenomy’s 1.5°C alignment, we are looking for an intern willing to make a difference by providing ESG metrics, actions, and targets. These insights and expertise are key to supporting the integration of climate within Greenomy’s business, strategy & execution.

Responsibilities and what you will learn 

• Scenario modelling to lead our SBTi target projection.
• Assist our B Corp leader with our B Corp ambition.
• Gather and consolidate input from supply points and own operations journey to become net zero.
• Manage an end to end project for successful delivery.
• Assist the wider sustainable performance team, including in the preparation of external sustainability audits, working on an ESG improvement plan, and general support on sustainability reporting.

What we are looking for

• You are a Bachelor or (preferably) a Master student in Sustainability Studies (i.e., Sustainable Management/Finance, Environmental Science, Compliance or ESG).
• You are (preferably) available for a duration of 6 months.
• You are fluent in English – oral and written.
• You are a current studying at a Belgian university and located in Belgium.
• You have an analytical mindset as well as a creative side to synthesise and communicate data.
• You are adaptable, detail-orientated, organised.
• You have the ability to challenge situations, act with resilience.
• You have a strong ability to multitask and work independently with limited supervision.

(Optional) It’s an advantage if you have any of the following:

• You have previously worked with green/sustainable corporate labels or certifications such as SBTi, B Corp, Ecovadis, Sustainalytics…
• You have experience in ESG and sustainable finance regulations (EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR, TCFD, ISSB etc.), environmental and sustainability policy, and GHG standards.
